‘Sudlows breaks turnover record’
DATA centre design and build specialists, Sudlows, have announced a record turnover of £11 million for the year to date. The award winning company, who have offices in both Manchester and London, has increased its annual turnover by an impressive 72%.
This record announcement marks the culmination of the most successful year in Sudlows 100 year history.

Sudlows have secured substantial commercial growth over the last 12 months. Within the UK market alone, significant contract wins have included numerous web hosting companies, the Co-operative Group, Royal Bolton Hospital NHS Trust, Anglia Ruskin University and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. As part of their planned growth strategy and growing reputation outside of the UK, Sudlows has also seen a significant rise in international Data Centre enquiries from as far as North America, Africa and Asia.

This success has been duly recognised with no less than five industry and business award nominations and two prestigious wins from the Manchester Evening News Business Awards and Data Centre Solutions.

Their high achievement can be attributed to significant internal development, seeing considerable expansion through rapid sales growth and commercial acquisition over the last year. This has required increasing employee numbers to facilitate the progression of their integrated service divisions.

In addition, Sudlows have launched their own technical seminar sessions, inviting professionals, suppliers and manufacturers, to experience the opening of their live ‘Data Centre Innovation Pod’ – currently the only live testing facility in operation in the UK.

The fully working showroom allows clients to experience state-of-the-art product application and innovation in a functioning data room packed full of the latest technology. This unique facility applies the complex and technologically advanced capabilities of data centre provision and management into a comprehensive one stop shop solution.

John Collins, Managing Director of Sudlows said:

“This excellent growth has been a result of two years major investment in both new technology and highly skilled professionals which in turn, has been instrumental in driving the business forward, defying the very tough economic conditions.

“As an environmentally aware organisation, Sudlows incorporate a variety of the world’s leading edge, energy-efficient technologies into all projects undertaken, reaffirming our ongoing commitment to both internal and client relations.”

The company recently opened an office in London to service its growing list of city clients and is projected to reach £20 million turnover by its centenary year of 2012.
